This App is aimed to disseminate AM knowledge as part of AM-motion project funded by European Union H2020 Programme under grant agreement nº 723560. It allows players to overview AM concepts relative to the different types of technologies and machines, the main advantages and drawbacks compared with other manufacturing techniques. The design of the parts according to AM requirements, the manufacturing process, how parts grow in height (layers), post-processing and main applications over different sectors is also covered.
There is a quiz which is based on a set of questions about AM with 3 different levels of expertise: Starter, Intermediate and Advanced. Users have to correctly answer 15 questions (5 of each level). Questions are stored on a database and they are randomly selected. Four possible options are shown but only one is the right answer. With each right answer the score is incremented in 20 points. After 5 correctly answered questions, the level is increased. If the answer is incorrect, the quiz will finish at that point. After the questionnaire, users are ranked according to the number of correct answers.
