Description of Daily Prayer PC(USA)

Daily Prayer PC(USA) provides brief services for Daily Prayer based on the Presbyterian Book of Common Worship, including: psalms for the day, readings from the daily lectionary, and prayers of thanksgiving and intercession.
The app provides liturgies Morning, Midday, Evening, and Close of Day Prayer, selecting the appropriate service and lectionary readings based on the time and date settings of your iPhone or iPad. The calendar tool allows users to find psalms, readings, and prayers for other dates. Use the clock icon to select Morning, Midday, Evening, or Close of Day Prayer, overriding current time of day.
The “advanced features” menu allows users to toggle on/off various options and select between two versions of the Lord’s Prayer.
A brief tutorial provides information about the practice of Daily Prayer and instruction on using the app.

  Quite a good app for engaging with God's word & prayer in a disciplined manner. Would be nice if day prayer had it's own brief verse (s) or passage of the scripture provided for each day of the week other than the daily lectionary & have the psalms more traditional to the day & night prayer selectable. Otherwise quite a good aid to a simple disciplined prayer & praise unto God.

  Quite a good app for engaging with God's word & prayer in a disciplined manner. Would be nice if day prayer worked. Don't know if that's a glitch, but won't show day prayer when pressed on drop down services for the day. Would be good if brief verse of the scripture was provided for this too. Otherwise quite good.

  This app is unbelievable, in that, throughout the day, an order of worship is given with two psalms, old testament, new, and gospel, plus, a lovely prayer, often applicable to our times, the Lord's Prayer, sometimes, even a few extras, and a closing prayer. Very meaningful to use daily in devotion to our God. Very meaningful during pandemic.
