In Season Produce is an Android produce app for keeping track of the availability of fresh fruits and vegetables based on their US growing seasons. Produce profiles are provided for each item listing nutritional content and information, as well as useful tips for optimal selection, storage, and preparation of the fruit or vegetable.
The app also includes a list of “superfoods” that provide excellent health and nutritional benefits, those produce often associated with higher pesticide contamination, lists of cleaner produce with lower pesticide contamination levels, and a dietary fiber guide explaining the basics and listing those foods that are fiber-rich.
