  I have been playing with this app for a decade or more. I'm probably somewhere around 5 kyu. This app used to be decently strong but predictable, but the alphago upgrade made it dramatically stronger, less predictable (at least to me), and better able to teach me where the next promising move might be. Very highly recommended! Annoyingly highly recommended, since as I wish to switch to iPhone, here is one strong reason not to (:

  Automatic scoring has issues with seki, 19x19. I don't mind a scoring bot making mistakes so much, but I cannot find an option to correct the system and mark stones appropriately dead or alive. Would like to see that function added, or at least easier to find. (Pro/paid version, 19x19, level 3 cpu)

  This app doesn't count captured stones, if it did that, it would be perfect for me, I especially like the 2 player for my wife and I to practice while we are out, and that it works offline, but like I said it doesn't keep track of captured stones so it's useless for real practice. If it was updated to keep track of captured stones, just a number under each players thing at the top then this app would be perfect, unfortunately this one little oversight renders it useless for anything serious
