Discovery Insure is motor insurance for good drivers.
Through, our smartphone-enabled DQ-Track, which incorporates the Discovery Insure app and our tag device, Discovery Insure clients get real-time feedback on their driving, amongst other innovative features. Good driving earns fuel rewards - our clients can get up to R800 back every month.
To get your rewards, you need to install our tag device and make sure it’s linked to the Discovery Insure app. Then, activate your Vitalitydrive card by SMS or online at www.discovery.co.za, and always swipe it when you fill up at BP. You can also get rewarded for your Gautrain spend. Simply link your Gautrain Gold card at www.discovery.co.za.
Use of the Discovery Insure app is limited to Discovery Insure clients who have installed the smartphone-enabled DQ-Track. Learn more about us .
Note: The Discovery Insure app uses Location Services. When not driving, it does not use GPS. It uses battery-efficient methods to automatically determine the start of a trip, and stops detailed monitoring soon after a trip ends. The app is aware of your battery life and will not start monitoring a drive if the battery is low. Although the app has been designed to use the phone's sensors in a battery-efficient way, running the app without a charger on long trips may drain the battery.

    App has many faults. Doesn't adequately record trips. All settings are correct. Did not record trips while mobile data was on. Then suddenly switched to working with it on. Now no trips hace recorded for past 2 weeks. Highly infuriating. Everytime you try to log query on app it says it cannot submit no matter how many times/days you try.

    registered with discovery an year ago, till now this app shows 0 trips done. app cant connect to sensor, though i have driven over 25000 kms. raised this with discovery and tigerwheels with no help from them. people usually get a white sensor, some how they planted a dull colored sensor somewhere I cant see and it never connects with the app and in Sep they increased my monthly premium by 40 %.

    I struggle to connect the app to my vehicle sensor, sometimes I have to restart my device disconnect and connect to the sensor switch my Bluetooth on and off and eventually when I get my trips to record I still get penalized for the trip because it says unrecorded trips. Seems like the longer I use this app the more problems I experience. I have to check my past trips on a daily basis to make sure I am not incorrectly penalized and I have logged multiple support cases regarding this.

    Theis app is needs some serious work. Most of my trips say the phone was not available. I removed all my battery optimisation. Sometimes it just says trip in progress while there is none. I got a fright the other day it happened while I was 7 km away from home jogging... I had to call my wife to go and check if the car was still there.

    Hi there a problem with the app again. It records my trips but gives me no points and it says no trip information on all my trips. The other problem is the monthly 250 points it doesn't restart every month it just carries on going down while I don't drive at night nd I don't do long trips. It is supposed to start from 250 every month but it never since 2 months ago losing points with that also. Please fix these problems that keeps happening every month basically.

    Have had nothing but problems since the system was changed from stars to points. App often does not record trips and states phone not present even though it is. Have made sure every setting on the phone is set as per the app requirements but it still only haphazardly records trips. I have even gone so far as to have my sensor changed at tiger wheel but this has still not improved the recording statistics.
