Description of Sitting Timer

They say that sitting kills. It's important for your health to take breaks from sitting. This smart automatic timer helps you with it.
While the phone is in your front pocket, the app knows when you are sitting and when you're not. It runs in the background so you can normally switch your screen off. It notifies you when it's time for a break.
The app also knows when you are standing or walking. When you stand or walk for a while with the phone still in your pocket, the timer notifies you about the successful break. And the timer resets itself.
And this without touching your phone at all. Just as easy as it should be.
Features:
- Sitting / Walking / Standing detector
- Automatic sitting timer
- "Time for a break" -alarms
- Reminder alarms
- Statistics of the day in a 24-hour clock chart
- Sleep mode
- Configurable
- Hands-free
Sitting Timer is designed for people who keep their phone in their front pocket. While the device is parallel to your thigh, the app finds out if you are sitting or walking by watching the position and movement of the phone. And yes, the app even knows when you are standing!
If you don't keep your phone in your front pocket, you can still use the timer manually.
The app tells you how long you have been sitting and it tells you when it's time to take a break from your chair. And once you stop sitting, the timer stops automatically and starts itself when you take a seat again.
The app also shows your sitting statistics of the day in a 24-hour clock chart.
The maximum sitting time, notification types and reminders are configurable.
Because Sitting Timer app uses only the accelerometer of the phone, the app doesn't need too much power. However, you can choose between three power plans if you'd like to save your battery.
Do a favour for your health and download the app right away!

I like the app a lot, but I don't always take my phone with me when I stand up and then forget to turn on manual mode. If I do turn on manual mode, sometimes I forget to turn it off. Maybe there should be an option that if my phone is perfectly still, one could assume I set it down to go do something?

Used it to buzz me at work today every 20 minutes and it worked really well. It has a double vibrate so I can tell it apart from my texts and such. Would recommend as it saved me from buying a $100 fit bit to do the same thing.

This app was a waste of my time. Standing detection does not work reliably (if at all) and there is no means to test it using the app UI.

Doesn't work. The alarm never went off, unless you switch on the display.

"Times over 15 minutes are available only in the full version. Would you like to get it now?" You really need to disclose this information somewhere in the description, because this meant an instant uninstall for me. I can't stand every 15 minutes in my job, and health professionals recommend standing 5 minutes each hour, so I'm not sure why 15 minutes would be seen as a valid default setting. I'll gladly pay for your app if it really works for me and my life, but please don't try to trick me into buying it before I can even have a chance to see if it works well for me with a bogus trial product that's not even labeled as such.
