Description of Food Diary - ServedUp

The simplicity of ServedUp will allow you to track your food and drink intake with ease. Rather than counting calories, you can now count your serves for each of the 5 main food groups -
Vegetables, Fruit, Grains, Meat and Dairy
. ServedUp provides the recommended serves based on the Australian Dietary Guidelines and Australian Guide to Healthy Eating. These recommendations are tailored to you as a result of your age, gender and pregnancy status.
Our simplified food database is based around Australian food and provides one variety of each food - no more choosing between 10 different apples! It is extremely fast and easy to add and edit food in your food diary, and similarly to track your water intake each day.
There is also the option to track key metrics for your health, including weight, waist and body mass index (BMI).
For those interested in learning a bit more, ServedUp contains guides and information to help your understanding of nutrition and each of the factors affecting your diet. Maintaining a food journal can be beneficial when seeking independent professional advice, as well as giving you a clear overview of your current diet.
ServedUp is constantly improving with more features added regularly to the app. We are working as quickly as possible to include these features to give you a better app experience: Some of our future upgrades include:

ServedUp is not a diet app. ServedUp is a way to maintain a healthy and balanced diet in the long term, to help you really achieve your goals. It has been designed to allow the general Australian population easy access to the Australian Dietary Guidelines, which have been set after the review of over 55,000 scientific articles. If you don't want to count calories, count serves!
ServedUp was created by Jarryd Price and Jess Browne (Accredited Practising Dietitian).

the app is out of date and unsupported. the Saved meals function doesnt add the values to the daily widgets, making it useless. All up good idea, needs more work to make it work correctly. - I would like a refund but i doubt they do anything about it. i messaged them on facebook and although it says they are online they havent responded nor have they posted anything in over a year.

I just bought this to track my son's daily food intake. I added three foods and tried to return to the home page and the app crashed. Then continued crashing every time I opened it. tried restarting - nope still crashing. I want a refund!

I like the way this app is based around meeting food group requirements rather than counting calories, as I believe this approach is better for building long-term healthy eating habits. Following an update I have had trouble opening the app, but that has been resolved promptly. Please ignore my previous 1-star review.

Nice and simple but also captures everything you need to. Brings the basics back to nutrition. Love it!

Tracking food serves rather than individual calories straight away gives me a clear picture of my diet and helps me set appropriate eating goals.
