Note: You need to be a part of the CFBT SSCA Project to use this app.
The (School Score Card App) SSCA is a pictorial school score card that supports parents who have never been to school to demand quality education for their children. The app has a traffic light system of rating (red, amber, green) which parents can use to rate different key school quality indicators.
The primary indicators are Teacher and Student Attendance, Cleanliness of the school, Use of Teaching learning materials, Quality of Midday Meal, Punctuality, Drinking water, and Toilets. All the parents are required to do is go to the school on any working day, observe the indicators in the school and give the appropriate ratings to each area observed by them. The ratings given by the parents are then discussed in the School Management Committee (SMC) meetings and the Principal, Education Department and community together take joint responsibility for addressing them. The ratings are given by the parents and progress is tracked over time. Reports can be generated to view the performance of a school on a quarterly, or annual basis.
