The NDSIII Lite provides basic diagnostics for N i s s a n and I n f i n i t i cars. It is intended for newer cars that have a 16-pin OBDII connecter and use Consult III protocol over CAN. Those are usually cars build between years 2007 and now. The connector is typically located near the fuse box.
This application supports petrol cars. It communicates with the engine ECU using Consult III protocol. It uses the same communication protocol as the dealer diagnostic tool. This protocol is far more comprehensive than the generic ISO15765 protocol.
This app is design to work with adapters build on the popular ELM327 chip. They are very well priced and available from many Internet suppliers or eBay. For a list of tested adapters please visit our website.
NOTE: There are a number of adaptors from China with fake ELM327 v2.1 chip. Those adaptors do not have all required commands and are not supported. Look for adaptors with v1.5 or v1.4 chip.
