Works well but I have found a flaw in the recent android apps. Current possibilities for location usage: - deny - only while app is in use There is no option to always allow the usage of location. This is needed for the 'You have left home, do you want to enable security'. Please update this rapidly. I would like to hear a response on this.

Very good and intuitive but misses freedom to integrate many other devices

"Smart activation" is not smart. Nothing happens when leaving or arriving, even if the screen is on and Somfy Protect is the active app in the foreground. Only toggling the smart activation setting manyally back and forth makes the app detect your location. Works fine on iOS, but the Android version is broken. What a disappointment to find this out after paying an electrician to install a Somfy outdoor camera on the wall. Edit: The support ticket I opened in 20th Aug 2019 was ten days later resolved as "we are working on a solution". One year later, the very same problem remains.

Works well, all the bits and pieces are not cheap but it's great tech!

Accessing the cameras can be unreliable and seeing them up is a nightmare but the app works well.

i have several somfy protect devices for a few years now: indoor camera, indoor siren, many intrusion detectors, movement detectors, keyfob,.... i so i can give a good review. In the 3 years i have a few false alarms, to which a recalibration of the faulty sensor helped solved. However Last month, i had a REAL break in into my home while i was abroad. The sensors detected correctly the intrusion and i was alerted immediately and was able to see the thief LIVE through the camera. I couldn't call police from abroad so i had to call family and neighboors. The thiefs tried to silent the noisy alarm and destroy movement detectors unsuccesfully. I'm convinced the alarm stressed them out and they left the house in less than 5 mins thanks to that (they did check the bedroom for small easy-to-carry valuables). Police came 2 mins after they left unfortunately. I'm satisfied with the devices , but disappointed by the camera, the app, and the customer service (who is quite difficult to join btw). Having no subscribtion, i'm entitled to 30 seconds video clip, which i can see the thumbnails in the app. However half of them were not viewable nor downloable (thumbnail shows movement though!). This issue of not being able to play the cideo clips is not a recurrent. When i managed to contact somfy support to try to get those unreadable clips, they didn't wanna help unless i prove through a police report that i was robbed ! Police report containing personnal info, i refused and never heard back from support again. I strongly believe they found a way to avoid blaming technical issues by doing so. If i just wanted to download clips of my dog, should i send them prove of ownership to be able to view MY videos !?? There is clearly technical issues with video clips in the app, and the app could get some improvements (like: not automatically arm the alarm when leaving if there is another user in the house, or adding time and date to videos iso a useless "somfy" label).
