This application is useful for learning through Youtube, we call it Education Through Youtube, in short ETY. Many educators and organizations have their tutorials and courses published in the form of videos on youtube. The ETY product from Mobile Harvest enables any third party to curate this kind of content and package it in form of a mobile application.
The mobile harvest portal for ETY provides for free every entity an opportunity to generate their own course in 3 simple steps which runs on this course player, which we call as ETY player. The ETY player is also free to use and download.
Advantages of the ETY product:
The application provides unique analytics for the course provider beyond youtube analytics like phone number and usage location of the course taker. Also, it provides leaderboard and other gamification features encouraging users to complete the course and monitor their progress. The application also provides a mechanism for course takers to contact the course providers for example to obtain a certificate in future.
We also aim to provide a quiz mechanism and discussion forum for course providers soon to do a better assesment of their users.
