This app is wonderful and actually works just as is advertised. Different color dots will appear in the upper right hand corner of your phone in display alerting you to the fact that your camera and / or microphone are being accessed.

Something is amiss. It seemed great, at first, but then it started logging things that didn't make sense. It was saying ProtonMail was accessing location data, but that app doesn't even have that permission. When I looked at the official log, SafeDot was the only thing accessing location data and it was doing it a lot. I decided to uninstall the app.

Pixel 7 issue - icons do not disappear even when mic, location, camera access is revoked through Android.

*Urgently* needed: Option to ignore apps where I know they are safe (like multimedia recording/editing software or certain interactive screen savers) . Also, no way to turn off sound (very annoying)

I love the idea for this and how easy this is to set up, however, it doesn't stay on, and it doesn't reliably notify me of access to my mic, camera, or location. This frequently goes days at a time between tracking access and not tracking at all. Not sure if it's my phone, but after trying to use this for months, I can't say it's helped me keep track of who's doing what on my phone. If it works for you, definitely keep it, but in my case, it doesn't make sense for me to keep it.
