Description of Yubico Authenticator

I find the Yubico Authenticator doesn't actually work with my Yubico Yubikey series 5. I enable NFC, open the app tap my key against the back of my phone and nothing happens.

Love having codes on a physical key instead of a phone. Super easy to move between devices. Would love to see a few improvements to knock it out of the park. Load all codes on an NFC tap if configured to require a touch. The ios app does this feature in one NFC tap, but android requires NFC, finger touch, and NFC again. Add the ability to edit info after the initial setup. I like to obscure my account names. Add more than 32 codes to your hardware. Using Yubikey 5 NFC, Sony Xperia X compact

After multiple attempts I finally got it to work without giving an authentication error. I'm still having some problems using two separate keys. The AUTHY app is still better but this is a nice secure solution.

"error in yubikey communication" Whoever is in charge of the Android development of this app should be fired IMMEDIATELY. So many users complaining from the same exact issue - tag reads, beeps and gives an error (currently testing with 2 registered Yubikeys) This is absolutely unacceptable, because it renders the whole NFC idea useless. Very, very very bad user experience, especially since I see people complaining about this issue since Februrary. I mean, cmon? People are colonizing Mars already, you cannot fix a damn android app issue for 7 months?! That talks a lot about you as a company.
