New WhatsApp Contact Status delivers notification to you as soon as a contact in your phonebook gets on to Whatsapp or when you add a new Whatsapp contact. This feature is by default available on Skype, Viber, Telegram but not on Whatsapp by default. You can also text your new Whatsapp contacts directly from the notification panel without opening Whatsapp.
