A simple app designed to measure vibration dose value (VDV) experienced by the device. It is my app to measure road conditions (relative to car dynamics) of my daily drive using different route. It gives me idea how much beating my car and me is having everyday.
According to ISO 2631, the VDV value for 4-8HR exposure every day for health guidance caution zone is about 17m/s^1.75, give or take (equivalent to 34 for 10 minutes exposure) This app is much simplified, for various reasons, and is not intended to be used instead of ISO2631, but only as stated above.
Internet permission is for ads only.
*added wakelock to prevent cpu from sleeping when recording vibration data when app is in the background, wakelock is released as soon as app is closed (ie notification icon in status bar is gone) by tapping "back key".
* recorded total VDV for each trip/route can be saved in database saved in internal/private memory.. muliple trips can be saved in one route name, which can be viewed later on as Historical VDV values.
