Description of The SPOT App

SPOT satellite devices provide GPS location-based messaging, emergency, and coordination with Search and Rescue and anti-theft alerting and tracking beyond the boundaries of cellular. The SPOT satellite technology, powered by Globalstar, has initiated over 7,000 rescues around the globe.
The SPOT App allows you to view messages sent from your SPOT device, track progress, or monitor assets.
Features:
• Display SPOT messages with GPS locations on a standard map, a satellite map, or hybrid map
• Filter your SPOT messages by date range, message type, or device type
• Easily zoom to the most recent SPOT message
• Select preferred GPS coordinate display format
• Option to auto-delete SPOT messages by time or quantity within the app. Auto-deleted messages are removed from the app but remain in your SPOT Mapping account for 3 years
• Set the frequency to check for new SPOT messages

  Excellent app. My partner is an ecologist, and often works alone in remote, isolated or wild landscapes. The risks of these landscapes not only include the logistics of the landscapes themselves, but also the risks of him surveying and handling wildlife, including snakes etc. This app is an essential part of our safety procedures. He logs arrival and departure check-in locations, and can activate another extra 2 levels of "emergency/non-emergency but need help" messages without activating the SOS notification. Highly recommended for anyone at all who works or travels in remote/isolated contexts. It is highly flexible to meet your own safety procedures and protocols.

  Great app! I'm able to see all the devices attached to my account, set the dates I want to see and even track live. No issues updating the information I need to see.

  Hi I do like the Spot Satellite Messenger App but it's not very detailed it's sort of the samething with the Earthmate App it was from DeLorme but now it's Garmin.

  Hello SPOT! Just want to say thank you for developping such a great product. However, this APP is BAD! Please invest into upgrading the user experience. At the moment it feels really cheap and undeserving of the SPOT brand. Thank you
