The companies coming for placements in SRM now set the percentage up to 6th semester as their cutoff. Earlier it used to be CGPA and CGPA is shown in our end sem results as well as on the evarsity site. Students get to know about their percentage in the sixth semester itself till then it is very late to improve their percentage and thus being eligible for placements.
We being the 3rd year students have got our percentages just two months back. The way the college computes percentage is to calculate the sum of marks of all subject divided by the total marks(100*number of subjects) multiplied by 100. You must be thinking what about the credits? There is absolutely no weightage of credits. All the subject carry equal weightage.
