Fed up with your important messages and calls to family members being missed?
RespondASAP is a means for family members to ensure that their important and urgent messages are seen.

The app needs to be installed on the phones of two family members who wish to able to send urgent messages (ASAPs) to each other. Currently it only works on Android, but we are looking to get it rolled onto iOS shortly.
It is free to download, but if you want to invite someone then there is a small, one-off fee. If you have been invited then it is totally free to use - this means if you are inviting your child, then they will not have to pay to use the app. There are no adverts either.

How it works:
One family member installs the app and then sends an invitation message to the second. The second family member has to accept that invitation and install the app before any ASAPs can be sent. This means that both parties have to agree to using the app - so make sure you have a chat between you about the reasons, and need, for it before installing it.
Once installed and the invite accepted, either member is able to send ASAP messages to the other. The arriving ASAP will appear over the screen of the other and sound the alarm until the ASAP message is acknowledged (note: this app DOES NOT lock the phone). When acknowledged, the sender will receive a notification that the message has been seen so can be sure that the receiver is aware of the ASAP message.
ASAP messages can be sent both ways. So if a child needs to get an important message to a parent then this can be done too.
RespondASAP has safeguards in place so that if either person no longer wants to stay connected to the other, then they simply uncheck a box (and/or uninstall the app) and then the other person will no longer be able to send them messages.
If you are connected to more than one family member then you can send a group ASAP to all, or some, of them.

  This app is good hearted, but the message gets across wrong. What I mean for that is that the app needs access to your phone and completely lock it, bypassing both the laws for Apple's and Samsung's rules that explicitly say that any phones being put out of function permanently or temporarily by a middleman app is illegal and considered stage 1 harassment and invasion of privacy. Edit 2: an alarm would not lock over half of your phone's Basic functions.

  Thankfully have not yet had reason to use this aside from a quick test, but wanted to acknowledge that during setup something went wrong and support got back to me and resolved exceptionally quickly.

  I thought the app was free.... Must admit it is a good idea but the snooze option kind of defeats what the app is, as my son would just press snooze, it would get my daughter's attention but she would do the same and because it doesn't lock their apps then they would just carry on with whatever they were doing.... One of them have Apple phone and one has android.... Maybe in the future if snooze button is gone, kids apps lock to make sure they had to (reply asap) but atm it seems pointless.....

  Installed on my phone and linked to my 2 teenage children. Discussed with them why we thought it's a good idea and they agreed - having had numerous occasions where they've missed a text or they've 'accidentally' left their phones in silent. My only problem arose when I wanted to connect my husband also to the children and so I emailed Nick. He responded really quickly and helped me sort that out. We're now all connected and the app is working well.

  I was waiting for this app to work as my son has a phone but never used it. Now he will never be able to avoid my urgent messages! Nick was very helpful with the updates and extremely responsive whenever I had a question regarding this app. It makes it possible for anyone to use this app without any problems at all. Love it! Now just patiently waiting for the app to work for Apple phones.

  I had a little trouble getting the app set up....BUT the customer service was great. If you have trouble, just email Nick. He responded to each email quickly & stayed in touch til it was set up & working smoothly
