The UI is poor. There's no audio library other than the authors commentary over the text.. To listen to the text audio I have to sit on the first page of the chapter, it won't allow me to follow along, the audio cuts if I try to read with it. The audio doesn't keep track of where you left off as well, I have to skip ahead using 10 second increments, we could really used a playback skimmer.

This app is hot trash. it's not uncommon for it to crash on it's own. The highlighting function is buggy and likes to unselect everything when you're trying to drag the markers for it. The zoom functionality is super slow and imprecise, but in unzoomed view there is a lot of wasted space around the text - I'm pretty sure they just took a pdf of the physical book's page instead of formatting it properly for mobile reading. The one useful feature I will say it has is that any highlights or bookmarks are carried over to other versions of the eReader (PC for example, though that has it's own whole host of problems). Though this level of funcionality really is the bare minimum since Pearson forces you to use their readers, instead of just giving us the PDF like they should for something we paid hundreds of dollars for.

This app does allow you to access your etext, but that is where it ends. Users enrolled in Mastering courses using an iPad or tablet for school use...Pearson dropped the ball. Fluidity between the etext and mastering courses do NOT exist. Toggling between the two platforms..forget it. Accessing them within a web browser is possible, but there are so many incompatibilities with iPad usage; it is rendered useless. Pearson, I am ashamed for you. Your books aren't free nor cheap.
