  Well, you can disable it by turning the NFC off. But still, I think you gotta add a disabling button for some people that has wrote their dissatisfactions via the review.

  It does as described - read the balance of the card. It cannot read transactions because it doesn't have access to the Octopus system... and quite frankly I wouldn't want it to either! Feature request - launch the app when the Octopus card is detected.
