GateTiming measures the time an object enters and exits a series of gates where each is constructed of one switch or one photoresistor. Designed as a simple and low-cost means of timing moving objects, appropriate for science education experiments.
The app requires a simple 2 resistor and 1 capacitor circuit connecting the headphone jack to the gates. Calibration for the circuit and gate configuration accommodates local lighting conditions when photoresistors are used. A circuit diagram and photo of completed circuit with photoresistors are included.
Added UTC date/time to simple listing and CSV file output.
