LAB501

Description of LAB501 Battery Life

Ever wanted to see exactly how much your device lasts on battery? Developed with this specific goal in mind for the smartphone/tablet tests over at next.lab501.ro, this application lets you test your device in three different scenarios:
- Browsing: loops through several webpages and scrolls them to simulate a natural user-device interaction.
- Video: loops a 720p (if supported) or SD videoclip on the screen using standard methods and APIs to better simulate a real-life scenario.
- Gaming: stresses the GPU inside your device by continuously drawing a 2D canvas on the screen using OpenGL ES.
LAB501 Battery Life stores the initial and final battery levels as well as the duration for each run so that when the device is turned back on the latest result is displayed. Results can be saved to the SD card as a bitmap image so you can easily share it online.

It was an awesome app you gyus made. Please update a new version of the app where we can test the screen on time by a long duration video on wifi or 4G data. You guys know better that battery drains more quickly while streaming on data rather than watching a offline video. This will give us more practical results of the SOT. I hope you will read this review and respond soon.

Without this app, look at the time and battery percentage, then browse the Internet for say 30 minutes and then look again at the battery percentage. Result, for example, 10% drain in 30 minutes. What does this app gain over the method above?

However it would be better to have a place where people could publish their results
