Description of KYM - Know Your Mobile

Developed by Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), this app will verify any mobile by its IMEI number. KYM will provide status (Invalid/ Black Listed) or provide details like Manufacturer, Brand name and Model name of the given IMEI. While purchasing a mobile device, the genuineness of mobile devices can be verified using KYM App.

  Very nice system created by DOT. Yesterday I purchased a used Lumia 430 for 1500 Rs from Manish Market. That guy from shop gave me a bill with imei and his signature but does not have a shop name mentioned on it instead he wrote shop name with pen on bill and gave me his shop visiting card and said don't worry its not a stolen phone.So Today I was googling to check the status and found this app through official site and all my doubts got cleared. Now I can easily buy any used phone.

  Very useful app for seller and purchaser ,,,any customer how can be use this app ..... And how to find any mobile without IMEI NO . Basically customer know about mobile no. Not IMEI no . In don't have any box off mobile so how to find

  Does nothing. Just shows model number, manufacturer and IMEI number and supported bands. Not showing verified or black listed or not. How can anyone be sure by just seeing only model details. Does not shows its verified or not.

  1. what if All new device stolen w/o any sim card (say from shop) 2. In case of used device, Telecom service providers do not bother to do anything with the user's device or its imei no. 3. what if there are more then one device on same imei. it generally happens. shopkeeper do this. 4. there must be option on this app to claim imei's, verify, and report to block. i dont find this app Usefull unless I have to find details of a device with broken display and back panel. like software upgrade
