Wanikani is AMAZING, 5/5. It is very helpful to have an app to use wanikani so I don't need to use the web browser, however I do wish that the app was a little more intuitive. For example it doesn't suggest how much you should practice in a day. Adjustable daily goal intensities that aren't required could really help a new user track how much they can do in a day. Also I highly recommend using a Japanese keyboard to input answers, it helps ingrain the kanji and katakana even more! Thank you!!!

This app has really helped me keep up with my WaniKani lessons, I love it. Super reliable, and the notifications are great, given how random the schedule is. Definitely helped me to change the max #/lesson to 30 from the default 100. My only minor issue is that when an item moves up or down in rank (like apprentice > guru), the pop-up toast covers the top of the next character/word, which can hide important strokes (e.g., 文字 vs 文学). But I would gladly pay $20 for this app!

This really is a fantastic app that feels optimised for learning . Well designed, motivating visual stats. Ability to add your own notes is great. Minor improvements: Only thing is it could add a little explaination page for the difference between kanji, onyomi, kunyomi.. kanji reading, vocabulary reading. It takes a few days to get absorb this if you're new to kanji. Also a way to undo/change your answer if you misunderstood the question of made a typo.

This app is amazing and so much fun to use. The mnemonics they use to help the kanji radicals stick in my brain are like someone is right here talking to me. I find myself repeating them when I'm quizzed until it's just stuck in my mind and I recognize them the second I see them. Highly effective. Been using for seven hours as much as I can.
