Description of Empower - for Youth Dev Prgms

The Empower app has been developed in coordination with, and is used by participants of, the following youth employment programs:
YouthWorks offered by the City of Baltimore,
Mayor's Youth Employment Program offered by the City of Charlotte,
DESC and Connect Detroit by Grow Detroit's Young Talent,
Summer Jobs Connect program offered by the City of Miami,
Newark SYEP by the City of Newark, and
youth development programs offered by the Overtown Youth Center.
Empower provides participants and coaches with: program status and obligations, financial goals, tracking savings and hours worked, financial budgets, messaging capabilities, educational courses, etc.
This app will empower the user with the knowledge and skills for successful career readiness & financial management.
