Cherrybelle is Girl band (group) from Indonesia that has 9 talented members who are skilled both in singing and dancing, Cherrybelle fans – they are referred as Twibi & Twiboy and they refer the group as “Chibi” a short for Cherrybelle
Cherrybelle is an Indonesian girl group or girl band which was formed through a series of audition. This group was founded on February 27th, 2011 and consisted of nine young girls for the main member and one senior member as the Chibi Family, Cherrybelle became the number one girl band (group) in Indonesia.
Right now Cherrybelle is back with its new formation of members which is called the formation of 2015, carrying the theme “Cherrybelle is Indonesia” with talented members from various cities in Indonesia, Cherrybelle’s 2015 formation consist of the following names:
- Mifta Chibi from Medan,
- Tata Chibi from Palembang,
- Ela Chibi from Tangerang,
- Novi Chibi from Bogor,
- Christy Chibi from Jakarta,
- Ellen Chibi from Batu Malang,
- Onad Chibi from Pangkal Pinang,
- Muti Chibi from Yogyakarta and
- Yori Chibi from Malang.
They are all of those who made it through the audition that was done in nine different cities in Indonesia.
Cherrybelle managed to make the history of being the only one girl group capable of holding a concert in 33 provinces within 31 days which was held from April 30th, – May 31st, 2013. The concert title was "Cherrybelle BEAT Indonesia" and is sponsored by the motorcycle Company in order to promote the album “Diam Diam Suka” and was awarded by MURI.
On October 18th, 2013. Under the label Catz Records, Cherrybelle has released 3 albums including Love Is You (2011), Diam Diam Suka (2013), Reborn (2015). The album “Reborn” is the last album released with Catz Records Company, and is currently preparing for the release of a new album in this year of 2016.
