Description of BoltHoles

Boltholes is an app for use on a 3-Axis CNC Vertical Milling Machine.The app calculates the coordinates for "Bolt-Hole" patterns(holes equi-spaced on a circle).The user inputs all the parameters needed for the calculation and then presses the "Create File" button.A G-Code file is created on the device storage system in the Documents folder.The file is named "Drilling.txt".This G-Code file can then be sent via Bluetooth,e-mail,etc to a PC,and from there sent to a CNC Milling Machine.The user also has the option to display the file on the device and edit the file if needed,before sending to the CNC Machine.The overall effect is very similar to that of CAD/CAM systems,but limited to bolt hole pattern drilling.

  Many of the gcode simulators on Google apps will not open the text file. I tried renaming it to xxxx.nc xxxx.gc xxx.gcode xxx.etc without much luck. When i finally did get it to run, the z axis went into the first hole location. Then the cutter went sideways for all the remaining holes. Great if you are cutting stop signs or polyhedrons but bolt holes, not so much.....the idea is good, but the bugs have to be worked out.
