This is application for blind or visually impaired users. The app activates sound beacon located on external objects (like doorways, traffic lights, bus spots, etc). When activated, beacon emits sound (like buzzer or voice message) to help user to navigate.
This technology simplifies navigation for people with impaired vision or completely blind. The application uses Bluetooth LE protocol to activate beacons. Compatible beacons are automatically activated when user with active application is within the activation range (about 20-30 meters). The app supports background operation, so user can use any other app while walk and still have beacons automatically activated. If specific beacon uses activation on demand operation, the application announce beacon information to user and provides ability to turn it on, if user want to.
The sound beacon(s) should be purchased separately.
