While you are using any other apps, to create a date-and-time stamp,
1. just go the Notification Drawer, and tap the AutoHongKong notification. Then, this app will create a data-and-time stamp in the clipboard and return to the original app you have been using.
2. So you will be able to paste the date-and-time stamp in that app in this format:
2014-05-21 06:03:14 PM

This is just what I needed to time-stamp my notes. ... 5 years later, I still use this on all my Android devices. You need to remember to start it once after every device restart. After that, whenever I want the current date & time to paste into text, I pull down the device notification screen, look for "AutoHK Copy Date and Time", tap that, then go back to my app where I paste it in. It is worth those steps to me, I use it many times per day in the notes I write.

No GUI; no datetme customization; no free trial version; funny name that is hard to remember; Not much in all. It does succeed in giving the YYYY/MM/DD HH:MM:SS stamp only. Author's other app to try is bubble datetme stamp.
