Description

"Best Wi-Fi" can improve your Wi-Fi connection quality by connecting your device to the Wi-Fi which gives you the best user experience according to the real testing and measuring results. In general, your device will automatically connect to the Wi-Fi with highest signal strength. However, high signal strength does not necessarily translate to high network throughput and thus satisfactory delay or latency for good user experience, due to severe collisions from channel contention and inference from coexisting Wi-Fi and neighboring devices. In addition, the series of Wi-Fi amendments support many kinds of data rates. For example, IEEE 802.11b supports 1, 2, 5.5 and 11Mbps, while 802.11a supports 8 different rates from 6Mbps to 54Mbps. Different version of Wi-Fi chips in AP and your device will affect your usage experience as well. Therefore, "Best Wi-Fi" arises to improve your Wi-Fi usage experience and consequently focus on the performance metrics such as delay, latency, and average per-user throughput, instead of signal strength.
Features:
- Scan and identify all the Access Points nearby.
- Connect your device to the Wi-Fi with the lowest latency and highest speed.
- Report related Wi-Fi information, including SSID, latency, and signal strength.
Instructions:
- Press “SCAN” button. A ranking table will be shown on the screen based on the testing and measuring results. In the meantime, your wireless device will be connected to the best Wi-Fi, according to the testing and measuring results.
- "Lock icon" on the left side means Wi-Fi you have not connected to. Please complete the related Wi-Fi configurations which you want to test in the upper-right drop-down menu.
Permissions:
- Please turns Location service on and gives app permission if your device is
running on Android 6.0 or higher.
Note:
- “Best Wi-Fi” doesn’t support switching between Wi-Fi networks with the same SSID.
