Metal Detector is an application which detects the presence of metal nearby by measuring the magnetic field value. This useful tool uses the magnetic sensor built-in your mobile device and shows magnetic field level in μT (microtesla). The magnetic field level (EMF) in nature is about 49 μT (micro tesla) or 490 mG (milli gauss); 1μT = 10mG. If any metal is near, the value of magnetic field will increase.

The application detects the presence of metals by detecting any magnetic field around the phone. The greater the magnetic field value, the stronger the metal will be. If the magnetic field crosses a certain limit, the application will notify you through an alarm and phone vibration. In addition, you can also modify the settings for the alarm limit, the beep sound that you want to play as an alarm, and enable or disable the beep sound and vibration when the alarm is activated.
