The band is composed of Eric Martin (lead vocals), Paul Gilbert (guitar), Billy Sheehan (bass guitar), Matt Starr (drums), and Pat Torpey (percussion, founding drummer); The band is noted especially for their musicianship, and scored a number of hits.
