Venice International Film Critics' Week is an indepentent section of the "Mostra Internazionale d'Arte Cinematografica di Venezia", curated by a commission of experts of the Italian National Union of Film Critics. It hosts only first feature films. The Venice International Film Crtics' Week discovered authors such as Peter Mullan, Carlo Mazzacurati, Kevin Reynolds, Harmony Korine, Abdel Kechiche, Pedro Costa, Pablo Trapero, Christian Vinvent, Sergio Rubini, Cédric Khan and Claudio Caligari.
