Common Good®, is the payment card for community power. Generate funds for community projects every time you use it. You and other members decide together what to fund. Economic Democracy shifts power from big business and big government back to communities, where we know and care more.
It's free and easy to open a Common Good account and pay with either your Common Good card or with CGPay™ on your phone. There are no fees for businesses and CGPay makes it easy to accept payments from Common Good members.
CGPay works very much like credit card processing apps for swipe cards. Except instead of a swipe card reader you use your smartphone's camera vision to scan a QR code on the customer's Common Good card. And instead of paying a 2-3% processing fee, you pay nothing at all.
You can also use CGPay to give refunds or exchange Common Good credit for cash.
Scanning works best if you hold the phone and the customer's card very still, with good lighting. For more information or to open an account, go to CommonGood.earth.
