The Govt. of Maharashtra with technical support of UNICEF and SIGMA Foundation has developed this app to capture data on the ODF-S plan at village level.
With Maharashtra being declared as ODF, sustaining the open defecation free status of the Villages, Gram Panchayats, Blocks, Districts and State over a continued period of time has become utmost priority. Moreover, the assets created under SBM should continue to remain functional and a decentralized operation and maintenance arrangement for upkeep and maintenance of assets should be in place. Thus, the Govt. of Maharashtra has taken up the initiative to develop an ODF-S sub-component (Beyond ODF) with introduction of solid and liquid resource management, faecal sludge management under the SBM program. The details of the activities to be taken up by each Gram Panchayat (GP) and funds needed are to be worked out and those will be reflected in the State Annual Implementation Plan to be submitted to the MDWS. The State Govt. together with the districts would develop an ODF sustainability plan, the primary unit of which would be the Gram Panchayats. The districts would compile the ODF-S plan of each GP in their district and would develop the District ODF-S plan. At a macro level, the state would prepare its plan by compiling the individual plans of each district. Thus, to digitize and systematize the entire process in Maharashtra, this mobile application has been developed with the initiative of the State Govt. Data on planning the ODF-S activities are to be captured through this mobile application at the GP level which will then be compiled for analysis at the higher levels.

Pada tingkat makro, negara akan menyiapkan rencananya dengan menyusun rencana individu dari masing-masing kabupaten. Dengan demikian, untuk mendigitalkan dan mensistematisasikan seluruh proses di Maharashtra, aplikasi seluler ini telah dikembangkan dengan inisiatif dari Pemerintah Negara Bagian. Data tentang perencanaan kegiatan ODF-S harus ditangkap melalui aplikasi mobile ini di tingkat GP yang kemudian akan dikompilasi untuk analisis di tingkat yang lebih tinggi.
