The Air Polis application provides real time information about air quality in the center of Thessaloniki, Greece. The air quality data are collected from measurement station hosted at the Faculty of Engineering at the Aristotle University Campus (AUTh) and are evaluated, as a pilot case study, by the innovative monitoring system of Air Pollution Intelligent Defense (AID). AID is an intelligent multi-agent monitoring network with main target to assess air quality and environmental conditions in real time and support decision making and action implementation for public health protection and air pollution mitigation.
In 2017, AID was recognized as an innovative air quality monitoring tool by winning the 5th award in the 7th Innovation and Technology National Competition of the National Bank of Greece (NBG Business Seeds).
Important note: The application is available in pilot scale to all citizens and visitors of Thessaloniki for free. The air quality data include main air pollutants, such as O3, NO2, SO2, CO and PM10 and air temperature and relative humidity. Additional services are the real-time calculation of European Air Quality Index and the seasonal evaluation of the Heat Index during summer. AUTh is not responsible for the accuracy or any other characteristics of the data. The provided air quality information serves research purposes only. Since the measurement station has not been subjected to a quality assurance review to determine its accuracy, the data and the results presented cannot be used for other applications..

Aplikasi Air Polis menyediakan informasi waktu nyata tentang kualitas udara di pusat Thessaloniki, Yunani. Data kualitas udara dikumpulkan dari stasiun pengukuran yang diselenggarakan di Fakultas Teknik di Kampus Universitas Aristoteles (AUTh) dan dievaluasi, sebagai studi kasus percontohan, oleh sistem pemantauan inovatif Pertahanan Pencemaran Udara Polusi (AID). AID adalah jaringan pemantauan multi-agen cerdas dengan target utama untuk menilai kualitas udara dan kondisi lingkungan secara real time dan mendukung pengambilan keputusan dan pelaksanaan tindakan untuk perlindungan kesehatan masyarakat dan pengurangan polusi udara.
Pada tahun 2017, AID diakui sebagai alat pemantauan kualitas udara yang inovatif dengan memenangkan penghargaan ke-5 dalam Kompetisi Nasional Teknologi dan Inovasi ke-7 dari Bank Nasional Yunani (Bibit Bisnis NBG).
Catatan penting: Aplikasi ini tersedia dalam skala percobaan untuk semua warga dan pengunjung Thessaloniki secara gratis.
