Readily Available Parking In Duke is a Android application built with PostgreSQL which will inform the user about the availability of parking space in the various gated lots around Duke University.
As members of the Duke community, we have all been in a situation where it is simply impossible to find an open parking space in what seems to be a vast parking lot, only to move on to a different parking lot and run into the exact same issue all over again.
We aim to solve this problem for all Duke commuters by creating a mobile application called RAPID - Readily Available Parking In Duke. This app empowers you to ease your parking lot wandering adventure with data provided by Duke Parking & Transportation to show you the historic availability of spots in any given lot.
With RAPID, no longer will drivers have to venture from one lot to another as part of a never-ending search for that one open space.
