The Surah takes its name from verse 224 in which the word Ash-Shu'ara occurs. This Surah has 227 verses and resides between pages 367 to 376.
Shu'ara is the 26th surah in the Qur'an. The name shuara means poets. It talks about various prophets and their tribes. Also how the disbelievers were destroyed after threatening prophets with death. It also talks about the mercy of Allah.
