The MaxAltitude R/C Flight Timer is a simple flight timer for your model airplane, quadcopter ("drone"), helicopter, car or boat, etc.
Some R/C Transmitter/Controllers have a built-in flight timer feature so that you can monitor the duration of your flights - very useful for getting your craft safely down before your battery runs out.
If your controller doesn't have a built-in timer, the MaxAltitude R/C Flight Timer app running on your Android phone will do the job.
The intended flight time can be set to any combination of minutes/seconds you like.
Buttons all operate in Press-and-Hold mode to make accidental presses less likely if you want to put your phone in a pocket while the timer is running.
There is a "Sound Test" button so that you can easily check that your phone's speaker is on and turned up to the level you want.
Once "Start Timer" is pressed, you are given a 10-second countdown for you to get ready to throttle up and begin the flight.
Once the timer is running, voice time announcements are given along the way at 3, 2, and 1 minutes, then at 30 and 15 seconds.
While running, the timer can be paused and resumed at any point, making it easy to keep track of the total flying time on your craft's current battery even if the flying consists of multiple shorter flights.
Three beeps are sounded when the time reaches zero.
The timer continues to run and indicate the time elapsed after the zero mark has been passed, with overtime announcements at 15, 30, and 45 seconds, and then at 1, 2, 3, and 4 minutes.
The timer stops when 5 minutes of overtime is reached.
