Uses a mathematical formula that takes into account start advantages, turn advantages, push advantages and time to the head/feet to convert between pool lengths, calculate splits and calculate target times for all distances between 15m and 100m, based off a swimmer's best time.
The app allows the underlying calculation to be calibrated by the user to account for swimmers that may have better or worse starts/turns or approach the pacing of races differently. The default values have been compared against race analysis of top international swimmers and align closely with their times (every swimmer is different though).
This app is a great coaching tool that allows coaches to give their swimmers specific target times for distances not normally timed in competition, such as 35m etc.
