Snake Ladder is an ancient Indian board game considered today as a classic all over the world. It is played between two or more players on a gameboard after a numbered, grid box. A number of "ladders" and "snakes" are depicted on the board, each connecting two specific board boxes.
The purpose of the game is to navigate a person a piece of the game, according to die rolls, from scratch (bottom square) to finish (upper square), helpful or obstructed by ladders and snakes respectively.
The game is a simple contest based on luck, and is popular with children.
