Official App of the Office of Assistant Regional Transport Officer Udhampur.
Assistant Regional Transport Office
Udhampur is the nodal office in the District
for transport related services provided by the Motor Vehicles Department of the Government of Jammu & Kashmir .
ARTO performs the following main functions in a district:
1. To act as Registration Authority for registration of vehicles.
2. To act as Licensing Authorities for issuance of Driving Licences
3. To conduct surprise inspections to check violations of Motor Vehicle Act
4. To act as Issuing Authority for issuing Permits of various types to transporters.
5. To monitor and exercise control over the transport services in their respective jurisdiction.
