One dark night as I was walking down a poorly lit country road I got a bit worried that I was going to get hit by a car. I decided to create an app I could use in such circumstances to make myself more visible.
The app is intentionally made as simple, robust and utilitarian as possible, meaning no settings, no options, no facebook integration nor ads ;)
What it does:
- the app sets the screen brightness to maximum
- flashes red screen at ~1 Hz frequency
- prevents phone from going to sleep as long as the app is in foreground
- maximizes the battery life by creating short bright pulses and longer pauses
Note: This app is no replacement for a "real" bicycle LED strobe.but it is better then walking in the dark without any light at all.
Fixed crash issue on Android 4.4, crash was due to permission denied when setting the screen brightness, solved by requireing permission WRITE_SETTINGS.
