El Festival Internacional de la Imagen (FINI) es un encuentro multidisciplinario para promover, difundir y apreciar la creación artística y la comunicación visual en un espacio de reflexión y debate en torno a la estética, los significados y el valor de las imágenes en sus diversos géneros, expresiones y aplicaciones.
La IX Edición del Festival Internacional de la Imagen (FINI), organizado por la Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo, se llevará a cabo del 2 al 10 de mayo, en Pachuca de Soto, Hidalgo,teniendo como País Invitado a Hungría.
En esta ocasión, el FINI propone una reflexión y análisis sobre un tema de actualidad: Populismo, en torno al que se desarrollan las diferentes actividades del festival, tales como el Coloquio Internacional -con la presencia de destacados investigadores y especialistas nacionales y extranjeros-, exposiciones, conferencias, clases magistrales, ciclos de cine, talleres y espectáculos.
Como Invitados de Honor tendremos la presencia del fotógrafo argentino Marcos López y el fotógrafo y videasta húngaro Adam Magyar, mostrando su extraordinario trabajo. Asimismo, contaremos con una muestra de carteles del diseñador argentino el Dr. Alderete y el cubano Antonio Pérez "Ñiko".
Todos los años el Festival entrega un Reconocimiento a un artista mexicano por su trayectoria profesional. En esta ocasión se le otorgará a la fotógrafa Yolanda Andrade. Han recibido esta distinción anteriormente Lorenzo Armendáriz, Ariel Guzik, Pedro Valtierra, Ambra Polidori, Elsa Medina, Maya Goded, Francisco Mata Rosas y Alfredo De Stéfano.
Además, el FINI realiza un Homenaje a los creadores que han contribuido con su obra al enriquecimiento cultural de nuestro país. Este año el galardonado será el diseñador y publicista Gonzálo Tassier. Entre los artistas que han sido reconocidos se encuentran Rodrigo Moya, reconocido fotógrafo documentalista; Ramón Valdiosera, pintor, ilustrador, caricaturista y diseñador gráfico; Eduardo Terrazas, arquitecto y artista multidisciplinario; Carlos Jurado, pintor y fotógrafo; Vicente Rojo, artista plástico y diseñador gráfico; Felipe Cazals, director de cine; y Julio Souza, fotógrafo de la Agencia Hermanos Mayo.
Por otra parte, el Concurso Internacional de la Imagen 2019, una de las actividades más representativas dentro del festival -que convoca a creadores nacionales y extranjeros a participar en los géneros de Fotografía, Técnicas Alternativas, Video Documental y Cartel, en las categorías de Estudiantes y Profesionales-, en su reciente convocatoria recibió alrededor de 1400 trabajos de más de 70 países.
Las obras ganadoras del Concurso se podrán conocer en la Magna Exhibición de los Trabajos Finalistas el sábado 4 de mayo, a las 20:00 horas, en el Patio La Garza del Centro Cultural Universitario La Garza de la UAEH, en presencia del Jurado integrado por artistas y profesionales de la imagen de reconocimiento internacional.
Con la realización del Festival Internacional de la Imagen, la Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo refrenda su compromiso con la comunidad universitaria y la sociedad en general al abrir espacios incluyentes y multidisciplinarios para la creación, la reflexión y el debate en torno a temas de trascendencia social, contribuyendo así al desarrollo de la cultura local y global.
The International Image Festival (FINI) is a multidisciplinary meeting to promote, disseminate and appreciate artistic creation and visual communication in a space of reflection and debate around the aesthetics, meanings and value of images in their various genres, expressions and applications.
The IX Edition of the International Image Festival (FINI), organized by the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo, will take place from 2 to 10 May, in Pachuca de Soto, Hidalgo, having as Guest Country to Hungary.
On this occasion, the FINI proposes a reflection and analysis on a current topic: Populism, around which the different activities of the festival are developed, such as the International Colloquium -with the presence of outstanding national and foreign researchers and specialists-, exhibitions, conferences, master classes, film cycles, workshops and shows.
As Guests of Honor we will have the presence of the Argentine photographer Marcos López and the Hungarian photographer and videographer Adam Magyar, showing his extraordinary work. Also, we will have a sample of posters of the Argentine designer Dr. Alderete and the Cuban Antonio Pérez "Ñiko".
Every year the Festival awards a Recognition to a Mexican artist for his professional career. On this occasion, the photographer Yolanda Andrade will be awarded. This year the winner will be the designer and publicist Gonzálo Tassier. On the other hand, the International Contest of the Image 2019, one of the most representative activities within the festival -which brings together national and foreign creators to participate in the genres of Photography, Alternative Techniques, Video Documentary and Poster, in the categories of Students and Professionals-, in its recent call it received around 1400 papers from more than 70 countries.
The winning works of the Contest can be seen at the Magna Finalist Works Exhibition on Saturday, May 4, at 8:00 p.m., in the La Garza Patio of the La Garza University Cultural Center of the UAEH, in the presence of the jury composed of artists and professionals of the image of international recognition.
With the completion of the International Festival of the Image, the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo endorses its commitment to the university community and society in general by opening inclusive and multidisciplinary spaces for creation, reflection and debate on issues of importance social, thus contributing to the development of local and global culture.
