The Nun Valak facts: Is the demon based on real life?
We don't want to terrify you, but Valak is based in established mythology – only the demon never appears as a nun.
Instead, Valak (also going by other names including Valac, Volac, Valax and more) is a child with angel wings that rides a two-headed dragon who is also the Grand President of Hell, delivers "true answers of hidden treasures" and commands legions of demons. Somehow, that makes the creepy nun seem less scary.
