Slide A Mate combines traditional puzzle sliding games with chess.
The objective of each Slide-A-Mate level is to checkmate the Black King.
The white pieces slide vertically or horizontally.
Once the white piece lands the normal rules of chess apply, with white playing upwards. Black pieces cannot be moved.
There are green helper pieces which you can also slide horizontally or vertically to help your pieces move to their desired location or to simply block off squares the Black King can move to.
If you are stuck at any point as to why the current position is not checkmate, there is an
'i' info button which offers help.
